What’s Planoly?

If you've been looking for a solution to help automate your content posting and streamline your social strategy, this is the answer to all your prayers. TBH, as an influencer with an already packed schedule, if you’re not using a scheduling tool that’s APPROVED by Instagram itself and keeping a close eye on your analytics, what are you even doing? It doesn’t just work for Instagram but can also be used for Facebook and Pinterest. Let’s start with what all the hype is about.

Managing, Planning and Scheduling Instagram Posts

You’re busy, we get it. And it’s hard to create a truly engaging caption and a really well-crafted post if you’re flying by the seat of your pants and posting on the go. There’s a better way. It’s called plan it out ahead of time to 1) save you time, 2) improve your posting consistency, 3) get the best visibility possible. Here’s what Planoly can do:

  • Schedules your posts & Instagram stories

  • Auto-posts for you, straight to your feed.

  • Provides an easy drag and drop customizable feed plan to help your IG feed feel more cohesive and aesthetically appealing

  • Lets you plug in a First Comment as soon as you post, to kickstart your engagement

  • Allows you to easily import and repost other content from around Instagram through a simple link copy-paste

  • Lets you tag locations and people (on the photo AND in the caption)

  • Gives you a Calendar view you can access on mobile and desktop for an easy user interface

  • Lists the best time to post depending on YOUR followers’ past activity online

  • Lets you auto-schedule posts on Facebook and Pinterest

  • You can now coordinate your posting schedule on multiple platforms without having to go to those platforms one by one. This is handy because any tweaking that needs to be done in order to repurpose content from one platform to the next can now be done as each post is scheduled.

PRO TIP: this feature in Planoly is BETTER than the “post to Facebook” button available when you create a post within the Instagram app! Why? Because your content needs to be tweaked specifically for the platform it's going on. Yes, it is an extra step but super necessary to make sure your reach on each post is maximized and the content is tailored specifically to perform well on that platform. For example, we all know that adding Hashtags to a Facebook post doesn’t have the same effect as it does on Instagram AT ALL. It’s important to make those little adjustments ahead of time, and you can do that with Planoly.

Hashtag Optimization

Here’s what we love using Planoly’s Hashtag feature for:

  • Easily making hashtag banks to use on different types of posts (So you DON’T have to write them out each time)

  • The simple "insert" feature that drops your custom Hashtag lists right into your scheduled posts

  • The option to schedule your Hashtags as a First Comment to go out with your post instead of plugging them into your caption so that 1) you don’t have to do it manually and 2) your captions look a little cleaner without a bunch of hashtags in them.

You know how different types of posts require different sets of hashtags for maximum reach? Planoly lets you save these Hashtags in their own specific categories! It’s like a customizable mini-library of saved Hashtags lists (30 at a time) that give you the ability to literally drop in the BEST relevant Hashtags for your content with one click. For example, if you’re a fashion influencer and have a type of post that’s more specific to luxury items and another type of post that’s more specific to a certain brand of items, you can create your "luxury hashtags list" and your "Chanel Hashtags list", save them and use them again for any new post you schedule. Furthermore, if you want to totally nerd out on this feature, you can even see which combination of the Hashtag lists you used, ended up getting you the most visibility on your posts. 🤓

Analytics you NEED to be tracking

Probably the coolest part about Planoly is the fact that you can see your analytics within the app that allows you to see how your content is performing so that you can stay on top of optimizing your posts. Here are the things you can track within the app:

  • Analytics by date range

  • Instagram metrics pulled together in one place (so you don’t have to go in and manually view stats on one post at a time)

  • The catch is that it doesn’t pull together metrics for IGTV but this is probably one of the next features they’ll roll out in the future (especially because, spoiler alert: IGTV is rumored to begin monetizing soon… so let’s FOR SURE stay tuned for that).

Oh...and there's a fully-FREE plan

The good news is, you can use *many* of these features with a free account. If you want to get fancy and add more than one account to the scheduler, access more cool features, or schedule more than a whole months' worth of posts, there's an affordable option for that. The deal with this tool is you really can’t afford NOT to be using it for your platforms.

Everything Planoly offers can be super helpful for you when it comes to having conversations with brands because you’ll know your numbers and they’re easy to share when they’re already compiled FOR YOU.

To sum it up, this tool is an incredible resource and helps you level up your game when it comes to getting your content posting schedule together. We hope you love it as much as we do!
